FAQ

What does a boudoir session with Jessie include?

Each boudoir session is designed to feel supportive, intentional, and fully guided.

Your experience includes:

A pre-session consultation (via phone or email)

Session prep and wardrobe guidance

Professional hair and makeup

A fully guided 60–90 minute photoshoot

Gentle, encouraging posing and direction throughout

A same-day private image reveal

Images and products are purchased separately so you can choose exactly what you love.

How much does it cost?

The session fee covers the experience itself and is due at the time of booking to reserve your date.

Digital images and printed products are purchased separately during your image reveal. I offer both à la carte options and curated collections.

Full pricing details are available on my pricing page, and I’ll walk you through everything before you book so there are no surprises.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes — payment plans are available and commonly used.

Here’s how it works:

The session fee is due when you book

Product payments can be spread out over time

Most clients choose to book their session 2–4 months in advance and make monthly payments leading up to their image reveal

All products must be paid in full before final images are delivered. I’m happy to help you choose a plan that feels comfortable and manageable.

When should I book my session?

I typically recommend booking 2–4 months in advance to allow time for planning, payment options, and a relaxed experience.

If you’re booking for a specific occasion (birthday, anniversary, wedding, etc.), I recommend scheduling your session 4–6 weeks before you’ll need your products in hand.

Where are sessions held?

Sessions are typically held in carefully selected hotel rooms rather than a traditional studio, with locations varying based on where the client is located. Jessie serves the Boulder and Denver areas and chooses hotels that offer beautiful light, privacy, and a calm, elevated atmosphere. For clients who want to turn their session into a short getaway, there is also the option to stay overnight and enjoy the space before or after the session—this setup is simply a perk of the experience and allows for a more relaxed, unhurried flow.

If a client’s home is a good fit, Jessie also offers in-home sessions at a discounted session fee. To ensure the space aligns with her style and provides the best results, clients must submit photos of the bedroom in advance for approval. Once the space is confirmed to be suitable, the discounted in-home option can be applied.

How many images will I see?

During your 60–90 minute session, I photograph a wide variety of poses and moments.

From there, I carefully curate 30–60 final images to present during your private image reveal. I’ll guide you through selecting your favorites for albums, wall art, or digital files.

Do you retouch the images?

Yes. All final images are professionally retouched.

Retouching includes:

Skin smoothing

Blemish removal

Minor adjustments to clothing or temporary marks

I do not change body shape or size. My goal is for you to recognize yourself and feel honored in the images.

Will you share my images online?

Your privacy is always respected.

I just wanted to let you know that images are only shared publicly with your explicit written permission. Many clients choose to keep their images private, and others enjoy sharing — both are completely valid and supported.

Should I arrive early?

If you’d like to explore wardrobe options or settle in before hair and makeup, I recommend arriving 15–20 minutes early.

Can I bring someone with me?

For the photoshoot portion, I recommend attending alone so you can stay present and connected to your experience.

You’re welcome to bring a friend during hair and makeup if that feels supportive. Guests do not stay during the photoshoot.

Is hair and makeup included?

Yes. Professional hair and makeup are included with every boudoir session.

We’ll talk through the look you’re drawn to — whether that’s soft and natural or more polished and glam — and tailor it to you.

What is boudoir photography?

Boudoir photography is an intimate, personal form of portraiture that focuses on confidence, connection, and self-expression.

It’s not about performing or fitting a mold — it’s about being seen as you are.

What should I wear?

You’re encouraged to bring 2–5 outfit options. During your session, I’ll help you narrow things down based on what feels best on your body and photographs beautifully.

You don’t need to have it all figured out — guidance is part of the experience.

What if I don’t want to show much skin?

That’s completely okay.

Boudoir can be created in a sweater, a robe, lingerie, or something in between. You are never pressured to reveal more than feels right for you.

What if I don’t know how to pose?

You don’t need to.

I guide you through every pose — from where to place your hands to how to breathe and soften your expression. No modeling experience is needed.

What if I feel nervous?

Feeling nervous is very common — especially if this is your first boudoir session.

Most clients arrive feeling a mix of nerves and excitement, and those nerves usually soften quickly once we begin. My priority is creating a calm, supportive space where you can relax into the experience.

Should I wait until I lose weight or feel more confident?

You don’t need to change your body to be worthy of this experience.

Boudoir isn’t something you do after you feel confident — it’s often something that helps you reconnect with yourself and your body right now.

Do you photograph men or couples?

My boudoir sessions are primarily focused on women.

I do offer couples boudoir in select situations. If you’re interested, reach out and we can talk through whether it’s the right fit.
